Hello, my name is Francesco Marzola.

In addition to my job as Wine Director at Ambassaden I work as a wine consultant, wine educator and offer a range of services.

What I do

  • Wine Course. During my preparation to competition such as Best Sommelier of the World 2023, I reached a big understanding of the majority of the wine country and regions of the world! Now I can bring that knowledge to you! If you are a group of frineds that want to learn more about wine or a group of wine lovers that want to deep in a region, if you are a company looking for a social event for your team or want to impress your clients I can help you with that!

  • Wine collecting strategy. If you are just beginning, or already have thousand of bottles, I can assist you in discovering and acquiring the right bottles. I taste thousands of bottles every year, am educated as an Advanced Sommelier, and I am currently managing Norway’s best wine list with over 40,000 bottles, so no doubt you will be in the right hands.. I can help you discover new regions or new producers from your favorite one!

  • Wine list strategy. During my career I obtained several prices for the wine lists I curate, such as “Norway’s Best Wine List”, “Scandinavia’s Best Wine List”, “Best Long Wine List of the World” and so on… I can help you organize your wine list, create an exciting selection for your guests, maximize you wine profit and give you a tool to make you unique!

  • Wine awards judgement. Since 2019 I have been judging in several beverage competition, both national in Norway and international abroad, do not hesitate to contact me for any project related to beverage awards!

  • Beverage development. I regularly engage in work involving the creation of new alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage, such as my latest collaboration with Edel Hardanger in creating a cider made with the traditional Champagne method, or my role as master blender for the coffee company Merand Kaffe AS!
